Moon I and Sun I paired miniatures Logwood dye recipesA symbolic pair of small celestial artworks, dyed with plant pigments and gilded with precious metals. Together these pieces hold the balance of dark and light, night and day logwood midnight silk for the moon, woad dyed sky for the sun. Moon I Logwood dyed bamboo silk, hand drawn and finished in pure tin and white gold leaf. Sun I Woad dyed bamboo silk, hand gilded in 24 carat gold. Two original works, each 6 cm square, frames and botanical dyed
