I love the rich blue of the lapping water and the misty background which adds a sense of mystery and contrasts with the clarity of the island. The green canvas cedar strip canoe depicted in the foreground was made by First Nations (Huron) in Wendake, Quebec for Simpsons Sears. My husband bought it in their store in 1963.
