First Sunrise of 2012 in Denver Size:16"x20" I watched in awe of

I watched in awe of the force of the waves but also used that time to see where the waves were breaking

From my position in City Park I was able to position the setting sun at the Wells Fargo Building (Cash Register) and the mountains

I headed to Union Station right around Christmas to photograph the light on the Wynkoop side of the building

This is where I noticed the beach and water coming together and also leaving a reminder of the prior wave coming onto the beach during low tide

The main concert hall in Reykjavik is Harpa which was designed to resemble the landscape around Iceland

First Sunrise of 2012 in Denver Size:16"x20" I watched in awe ofThe start of a new year is usually marked by sleeping in late due to the celebration from the prior night heading into the early hours of January 1st. To start off 2012, I fought the urge to sleep in and woke up in time to capture the first sunrise over Denver. As I waited for the sun to rise it was obvious people were still heading home after a long night, however like myself they were treated to the clouds lighting this first morning of 2012.
