Part of the wrapped cording is missing on one tassel and I see a couple of tiny repairs on the shawl

Unlined and slips on to wear with one strap closing with hook and eye and on one side with more hook & eye

The entire dress is a stretch fabric so it does have give

Big glossy brown buttons close it at the front and the sleeves are finished with a flat piping that matches the treatment at the neck

Alber was at Laroche from 1996 to 1998. The final collection that he designed was the Spring 1999 show and then he moved to YSL Rive Gauche directly after. This dress is an obvious take reissue on the famous 1972 Laroche designed by Guy and worn by Mireille Darc in the film 'The Tall Blond Man With One Black Shoe'.
